Call for Papers

A Call for Papers for the 10th Regional Innovation Policies Conference has been issued. Abstract submission deadline is June 21th, 2015.

Participants

The conference is directed toward researchers, policy-makers and practitioners interested in issues related to regional innovation policy, regional competitiveness and regional development. Participants are encouraged to present their work in open or organized sessions. The latter consist of three related papers with a title suggested by the session organizer. It is also possible to attend without presenting a paper. Discussants will be appointed for every paper.



The conference

The Regional Innovation Policies Conference picks up a tradition as a venue for researchers, practitioners and policy-makers with an interest in regional innovation, regional development and innovation policy. The conference will feature keynote addresses and parallel sessions. Participants are encouraged to submit papers for consideration on topics with a focus on regional innovation policy, in particular in relation to the following topics:

  • New modes of innovation

  • Advances in innovation system modeling

  • Urban versus regional innovation systems

  • Geography of creativity

  • New approaches to knowledge and technology transfer

  • Smart specialization

  • Renaissance of industrial policies

  • The role of proximity in national and regional innovation policy

  • Networks and complexity
